N3Chapter 64Unit 6 · Natural and Integrated Japanese

N3 Integrated Capstone

Learning objectives

  • Select grammar from meaning, source, control, and register.
  • Read practical and argumentative texts under a time target.
  • Follow a spoken decision and produce a coherent N3-level response.
N3 context
This capstone measures integration rather than pattern recognition. Complete each task before revealing answers. Record which errors come from vocabulary, grammar connection, nuance, reference tracking, or time pressure; that diagnosis should guide your next review cycle.

A capstone score is a diagnosis, not a label

Separate careless errors from systematic gaps. Review the chapter connected to each repeated error, then retake the relevant task with new examples rather than memorising the answer.

1. Production challenge

N3 production練習

Write your answer first. The model is one natural possibility, not the only correct response.

  1. 1.Your workplace introduced a new rule. Explain the external decision, the rule now in force, and one effort you will make.

  2. 2.Recommend a balanced study method using one concession and one qualified judgement.

  3. 3.Report evidence and draw a conclusion about a recent change in your area.

2. Timed reading

Trial bicycle-sharing programme

public report

Target: 7 minutes

Revising a community event

Listen twice. On the first pass, identify the problem; on the second, identify the final arrangement.

  1. Why do the speakers reject the park?
  2. What is the final arrangement?
  3. What action must happen today?
Key takeawaysまとめ
  • 1N3 control comes from identifying agency, evidence, source, register, condition, and paragraph function.
  • 2Practical comprehension requires tracking the final action and every restriction—not translating every word.
  • 3Use errors to select a focused review unit, then practise the same relationship in a new context.
